An attractive hotel, offering good value for money, the Montecarlo is suitable for those who wish to enjoy the delights of Rome and don't mind a short walk in the evening to get back to the hotel. The staff are welcoming, helpful and are always on hand to offer advice on places to see. The small marble and wooden lobby/reception leads to a quaint old fashioned lift which lots of guests find appealing and there's also an internet terminal available for guests' use.
The 44 guestrooms are well kept and vary in size. Having been recently refurbished, the colour schemes are warm with the complimenting fabrics and wallpaper adding a touch of traditional elegance.
Guestrooms are well equipped, are all soundproofed and have all the facilities you would expect from a hotel of this standard, including mini-bar, satellite television and air-conditioning. Bathrooms can be small but are clean and modern, some with steam showers and all with either standard shower or bath.
Serving drinks, cocktails and coffees, the well stocked bar is quite small and has a few tables and chairs. The hotel does not have its own restaurant but does have a breakfast room in the basement offering a continental buffet breakfast from 7.00am until 10.00am. There are a number of restaurants in the surrounding neighbourhood.
The hotel does not have its own parking, but does have an arrangement with a local garage. Although this cannot be booked, the hotel prefers to know in advance if you're arriving by car so that they may inform the garage.
