The Empire Palace is a neo-Gothic, Venetian-style boutique hotel housed in a palatial building, which dates from 1870. The elegant, medium sized lobby features marble floors, classical arches and precious paintings, which combine to create a refined and sophisticated ambience. The 113 guestrooms are decorated in warm neutral tones with dark carpets, cream bedspreads and cherry wood furniture. All are well maintained and boast a good range of modern amenities. The hotel's restaurant, "Aureliano," serves seasonal Mediterranean cuisine amid polished wood panelling, boiseries and traditionally painted walls. For outdoor dining, the "Corte delle Stelle" offers the same menu by the courtyard's marble fountain. For stylish cocktails, the "Blue Bar" is a striking modern space converted from the palazzo's stables and furnished by Philippe Starck.
